In a major anti-gang operation, Irish Gardaí arrested three men in their 40s and confiscated €345,640 in cash during a vehicle search in Drumcondra, Dublin 9. The suspects are believed to be connected to an organized crime group involved in drug trafficking and money laundering.
The operation was executed by the Dublin Crime Response Team, who intercepted the funds while in transit. Assistant Commissioner Paul Cleary described the seizure as a pivotal disruption of criminal activity, preventing further misuse of illicit proceeds.
All three suspects have been formally charged and are scheduled to appear before Dublin District Court.
This bust highlights Ireland’s growing focus on dismantling financial networks of organized crime syndicates.
